Lallana eyes further improvement

Adam Lallana is desperate to continue his recent improvement after returning to form under new Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

The England international has featured in every game following the German’s arrival in October, including 10 starts.

Lallana has been craving such a run ever since joining the club in the summer of 2014 but has been plagued by a string of injury issues.

After regaining full fitness, he has set his sights on finally making a significant impact at Anfield and helping the club push for a top-four finish, a feat they are currently 2.10 to achieve.

A feature of Klopp’s reign to date has been his penchant for tinkering with his starting XI and the busy festive period means he is likely to continue chopping and changing over the next few weeks.

Lallana is sure to feature though and will be desperate to continue his form. The 27-year-old admits he is enjoying his run in the side and believes he is only going to further improve over the coming months.

“I’ve been playing more consistently, but the big thing that has coincided is me being back to full fitness,” Lallana told the club’s official website. “I’ve had a good run of games under my belt now, I feel as fit as I ever have at the club.

“Any player will tell you that when you get a good run of games, you feel naturally fit. I want to be contributing more on the goals front – that’s something I’m working on, but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time.
