Sean Dyche unfazed by Liverpool

Burnley manager Sean Dyche insists his team are not intimidated by any team in the Premier League as they prepare to do battle with Liverpool on Sunday.

Dyche’s side secured their first win of the 2016/17 season back in August against Liverpool, with a 2-0 win at Turf Moor giving them plenty of confidence going forward.

Goals from Sam Vokes and Andre Gray ensured the Reds left Lancashire with nothing but Burnley’s form on the road has caused them problems.

The Clarets have yet to win away from home and Sunday’s clash will be their third away game in a row, with one more trip to come next week against Sunderland.

Despite their poor form on their travels, Dyche is adamant his team go into the game full of confidence.

He told Sky Sports: “The beauty of football is it brings up strange anomalies. We’ve got to make that happen, we can’t wait for it.

“They’re a very good squad. They’ve got depth, can change the side, as they should have – they’re a top club. They’re still vying for Europe of course.

They’re certainly one of the bigger challengers, certainly on the road, that come along in the Premier League “But belief and team-ship is an important factor.

Although we spent some money this year, we’re not cherry picking some of the best technical players in Europe like others are. So that team unity and belief is an important factor.”

Liverpool are strong 1.25 favourites to pick up all three points, with the draw 6.00 while Burnley are priced at 13.00 to win.
